Kathy Phillips Bio:

Los Angeles based Dance/Pop Music Artist Kathy Phillips has performed in the US and Canada and has opened up for International Artists such as Snow, Ian Van Dahl and DJ Sammy to name a few. Many of her highlighted performances included singing the National Anthems for the NBA games, the CIBC Annual Run for the Cure and performing at the World Renowned Annual Toronto Pride Parade.

Kathy has had a strong love for the arts ever since she can remember. From the age of 9, she was scouted by Young People's Theatre and won several talent shows throughout her teen years. She has     a BFA (Honours Degree) from York University where she Double Majored in Music and Theatre.

Her first single "I Wish" was released in the US with Robbins Entertainment/BMG. Within the first week, Kathy Phillips hit the Billboard Charts as well as all major record pool charts in America. Also in it's first week of release, "I Wish" entered at the #1 spot on the CD Single Sales Chart on the Dance Music Billboard Charts. This sparked interest in Canada and led Kathy to a National TV Commercial for IBM Computers featuring Kathy and her hit single "I Wish".

Her follow up single "Capture" was also a smash hit in Canada, receiving heavy radio play on the biggest Dance/Pop Radio Station in Canada, Z1035. Her 3rd single "Am I Alive" hit Top 10 on the Dance Music Club charts across the US.

She also recieved praise and Radio play across Dance Music stations in the US with her rendition of the ever popular country song "When You Say Nothing At All" released with Robbins Entertainment in NY.

Kathy has lent her vocals on various successful compilations, earning herself 1 Platinum and 2 Gold Records to date. She is the lead vocalist of the Gold and Platinum selling cardio fitness group K2 Groove. She is also the lead voice artist for the Fisher Price Little People, the Barbie: My Fab Playlist CDs as well as the Monster High Dance Mix Party CD.

Many of Kathy's fans took notice when "Melanie Flash", a new artist emerged from the Dance Music scene. Kathy is the voice behind Melanie. A project produced by Axel Kondrad who is the lead producer from the top selling International Dance act, "Groove Coverage" from Germany. "Halfway to Heaven"   and "One in a Million" proved to be a hit in the UK and Europe.

Kathy's success on the session singing Fitness/Cardio CDs led her to be the lead vocalist on all of the Richard Simmons Fitness CDs and DVDs since 2005. Her latest collaboration with the World Famous Fitness Guru is a full length Album written, arranged and produced with Richard and a recent CD single called "Hair Do", sung by Richard Simmons featuring Kathy Phillips. The Dance Fitness Anthem has received attention from the press Worldwide and featured on prominent network tv talk shows such as Ellen, Dr. Oz, Wendy Williams, Good Morning America, The Today Show, Jimmy Kimmel and Howard Stern.
